About

Hi there - My name is Matt and I’m passionate about UX/UI Design. I’ve been in the digital marketing field for the past 12 years, and have left my job of 8 years at Nike to pursue a career in UX design. As a digital marketer at Nike I sharpened my skills in creative thinking, problem solving, analytics, cross team and external partnership, presentation and advocacy, people management and leadership skills. 

My knowledge of the digital landscape and ecommerce grew immensely from my time at Nike and in previous roles. As a digital marketer I consistently had to put myself in the shoes of the existing and potential customers we were trying to reach, and work to make as frictionless of an experience as possible for them to reach their goals on our platforms. Working extensively with brand marketing and creative teams I developed a growing interest in user experience and web design. The combined elements of empathy, creative thinking as well as critical thinking and problem solving drew me towards wanting to be more a part of the “frictionless” design process and in 2023 I made the decision to switch careers to UX design.

As a designer I strive to make user focused, human-centered products that can help positively impact people’s lives and improve their experience with a platform and/or brand. I lean into my natural empathy to try and understand people’s experience, pain-points and goals and translate this into solutions that improve the well being of all involved.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me outdoors, in the mountains or at the beach with a camera in hand. I have a huge passion for nature photography and love capturing moments of our world's natural beauty to inspire and evoke wonder in people.
